The grades are in for some subway lines many Brooklyn straphangers use, and the results show there's room for improvement.
The MTA handed out "report cards" last month to commuters, who submitted results via the Web and mail. Riders gave the A line a C-, while the Rockaway Park S shuttle and C lines both scored a D+.
The results show straphangers were most displeased by poor service announcements, poor station cleanliness, a lack of adequate room during rush hour and long wait times.
Ease of turnstile use and availability of MetroCard machines ranked high.
The MTA plans to include the results from the latest New York City Transit's Rider Report Card in a larger report. The agency says the surveys are part of an effort to improve service.
