The Riverdale Y became a smoke-free campus today, including the outdoor grounds and pedestrian plazas.
Officials at the Riverdale Y joined the NYC Coalition For a Smoke-Free City, and said the decision puts the community's health first.
Members of the Riverdale Y say they hope that other public places in Riverdale will follow their example and become smoke-free.
