If you're looking for something different to do when out with friends, News 12 has you covered in today's Road Trip Close to Home featuring Stumpy's Hatchet House in Brooklyn.
Stumpy's Hatchet House has 30 locations across the country but just recently opened in New York. The owners from Marine Park opened the 12,000-square-foot space in September. It has 14 throwing pits to try hatchet-throwing, a full bar and other games such as shuffleboard.
Guests can book one- or two-hour reservations, but there are options for people looking for an exclusive experience like a date night.
"It's a great way to really relieve some stress especially after a long week or just a long day at work," says David Ferber, co-owner. "You want to come here and let it out. Get out that frustration or anger or whatever it is."
The owners plan to offer upcoming incentives for first responders and holiday-themed events at the location.
