The Time Out Market in Dumbo is far from a typical food court, offering iconic views of the New York skyline and cuisines from all over the world and spanning two floors.
The maze-like grid of food and flavor features dishes from Japan, as well as New York staples like pizza and bagels. It also offers a Bay Ridge Middle Eastern staple, Tanoreen, which is expanding for its second location.
Visitors tell 12 they appreciate all the variety that's housed under one roof.
The venue is a chance for Tanoreen to show off its foods to an even bigger audience, offering falafel, shawarma and even a personal favorite of owner Jumana Bishara - lamb fetti.
"The fact we are able to bring Middle Eastern, Palestinian cuisine from Bay Ridge to this area is really exciting," she said adding "our falafel is greener from all the herbs. I think people's eyes see it first - all that color on the plate."
Downstairs, Mori Mori, a concept restaurant from Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, serves up a unique concept on Japanese grab-and-go sushi, often with the use of a blow torch.
"We have the scallops and the foie gras, we torch it up, and it just makes it all blend together, it's super decadent, super rich," said Manager Alex Nguyen.
The market also offers mixology classes and trivia, as well as arts and crafts for children on the weekends.
