Nearby residents are fed up with the piles of decaying food creating a bad odor in their Mott Haven neighborhood.
Some neighbors say they are also concerned that the Iglesia de Dios Senda de Bendicion Church at 148th Street and Brook Avenue is also handing out the decaying food to those most in need.
The pantry's operator says that he feels that people are complaining out of spite, but admits that some food sits outside because there is no more room in the church.
