Dozens of women from a transitional shelter received a free day of pampering courtesy of an East Flatbush salon.
This marks the second year that Level 1 salon has held the event. Organizers say it's done as their way of giving back to the community.
The 30 women getting makeovers are between the ages of 18 and 24, and are from Turning Point shelter in Sunset Park.
Salon employees planned on staying well into the evening to make sure every girl who showed up was tended to.
Level 1 owners say they want to keep the event going for years to come, and are also looking for volunteers and donations.
