School children in Brooklyn were given the task of naming new ferries slated to service New York City. 
The city reached out to second-graders across the five boroughs for ideas on what to name the new ferries, including two schools in Brooklyn - P.S. 170 in Bay Ridge and P.S. 971 in Sunset Park. 
Mayor Bill de Blasio released a video on his official Facebook page to make the announcement. The names of the first five ferries will be:

-Friendship Express
-Sunset Crossing
-Urban Journey
-Waves of Wonder
-Lunchbox
Four ferry lines, including the south Brooklyn line, are expected to launch this summer. The remaining two lines will launch next summer.
