Drivers in Asbury Park, heads up: Sea.Hear.Now is setting up near the beachfront.

Starting Wednesday through Monday, expect road closures east of Kingsley Street between 4th Avenue and Deal Lake Drive. Watch for posted no parking signs.

The north-end boardwalk in Asbury Park is open, and lots of people were checking out the progress of transforming the beach into a 50,000-person concert venue.

The sold-out show Saturday and Sunday features more than 25 bands, including headlining Mumford and Sons, The Strokes, The Offspring, The Goo Goo Dolls and more. Construction started last week, and the main stage now towers high into the sky.

“It’s incredible. I’m so impressed they’re able to do this on the beach, on the boardwalk where we walk every day, so we do love coming this time of year and watching the progress and seeing how everything builds you know little by little.,” said Aimee Brash, of Ocean Township.

Aimee says she won’t be attending but does enjoy watching clips of the concert on social media pages. The north-end boardwalk will close to the public Friday afternoon and reopen Monday morning.
