Police and loved ones are making a plea for help in the search for a missing 10-year-old boy from Prospect Park South.
According to family members, Marlo Young never returned home from school at P.S. 249 Wednesday. The school's caretaker says Young attended his classes and left when they let out in the afternoon.
Young's parents say they searched for their son all afternoon when he didn't come home, and called police at around 9 p.m. Distraught relatives tell News 12 Brooklyn that a police dog traced the boy's scent to a friend's apartment near the family's home. He was last seen leaving there at around 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Young was last seen wearing his school uniform, including khakis, a white polo shirt and a black sweatshirt. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
