New York Sen. Chuck Schumer urged Republican lawmakers Sunday night to honor the wishes of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before she passed away. 
Schumer said it was her most fervent wish to not be replaced until a new president is installed. 
The Senate Minority Leader spoke outside James Madison High School in Brooklyn Sunday - Justice Ginsburg's alma mater.
He was joined by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez to encourage Republican lawmakers to speak out against the appointment of the next Supreme Court Justice until a new president is inaugurated.
Two GOP leaders have already spoken up.
