The Rev. Al Sharpton met Sunday with the family of the man who was shot and killed by police in Crown Heights last week.

Sharpton and the Vassell family gathered on Crown Street, where Saheed Vassell lived. They were joined by other family members, friends and religious leaders.

The meeting follows unrest after Vassell died Wednesday when police shot him as he pointed what has been described as a pipe in a shooting stance.

Sharpton raised questions, asking to see more video of the incident and also asking why a Taser wasn't used.

He added that Vassell may have been bipolar, but Vassell's parents were not able to make him take medication because he was an adult.

Following further calls for justice, Sharpton says he will attend Vassell's funeral.
