The sister of the Brooklyn soldier who was killed in Afghanistan spoke in loving memory of her brother.
The Department of Defense says Kevin Hill, 23, died of injuries suffered after enemy forces attacked his unit in Afghanistan. His sister, Chinyere Hill, says the family had no idea he was enlisted in the Army until he came home dressed in his uniform in August.
The Army specialist attended John Dewey High School and Monroe College. He was the first to graduate college in his family.
Hill's family says they are waiting for his body to be brought to Brooklyn for the funeral.
