The Jewish Museum on the Upper East Side of Manhattan is hosting an exhibit highlighting an icon - former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Ginsburg is known for the barriers she broke down, her undying advocacy for women's rights and her style, including the collar she wore alongside Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. The collars were a symbolic meaning of separating themselves from other male justices.

Elinoir Carruci photographed Ginsburg's collars after her death in 2020 and they're now on display at The Jewish Museum. Twenty-five photographs celebrate her legacy by showcasing the intricate details and unlocking the meanings and symbolism behind the collars.

The exhibit also gives visitors a chance to see some of the museum's jewelry collection up close including necklaces, pendants and amulets that tell important stories of Jewish history.

The exhibit is open until May 27. The museum is open Thursday through Monday and Saturdays are free for the whole family.
