The U.S. Army will be celebrating its 237th birthday this Thursday, and this morning about 25 soldiers got an early start on the celebration.The soldiers were on hand at Cadman Plaza Park for the re-dedication of the Brooklyn War Memorial. Soldiers laid a wreath as the war memorial was re-dedicated in honor the Army's birthday.The soldiers who were on hand had returned from active duty in Afghanistan this March. This Thursday, the celebration will move to Times Square for a cake ceremony that will be simulcast to soldiers in Afghanistan.
