Kingsbridge residents rallied for the second time against a new charter school on Saturday.
Dozens of people who gathered on West 232nd Street called for the construction at the International Leadership Charter School to be stopped.
They say the area is already burdened with traffic from surrounding schools.
"We have new schools that are right around the corner so in the morning during rush hour and in the evening – [there] will be…a lot of congestion," said Dawn, a community member.
On Wednesday, parents and community members rallied in favor of the new charter school. They say parents and families deserve the opportunity to receive a quality education.
Those who rallied on Saturday said their cause has nothing to do with education. News 12’s Shniece Archer spoke with community members who voiced their concerns.
