A new East Flatbush restaurant is giving customers the southern flavor they have been craving.
The head chef of Brooklyn Soul Food says hungry patrons will find southern classics such mac and cheese, collard greens, catfish, fried chicken and much more at the restaurant.
The eatery opened in a mostly Caribbean neighborhood with lots of West Indian food options, and Soul Food co-owner Crystal Johnson says she wanted to offer up a different choice.
Johnson also says she would like to open another location in the future.
