Holiday lights went out for some residents of the Spring Creek housing complex after a power outage Thursday evening.

Residents say power problems are common in the complex.

The buildings have their own power plant that tenants say frequently faces problems. The complex has lost power at least three other times this year, according to residents. 

In addition to knocking out their lights, the blackout also put the brakes on elevator service, leaving at least one woman stranded in the lobby for two hours with groceries intended for her 14th-floor apartment.
