Parishioners celebrated St. Ann’s Day during services, then enjoyed a barbeque. The church opened the gates for anyone in the community to come by and enjoy some lunch and music.

St. Ann’s Church hosted a summer picnic for the Mott Haven community.
Parishioners celebrated St. Ann’s Day during services, then enjoyed a barbeque. The church opened the gates for anyone in the community to come by and enjoy some lunch and music.
Community leaders took the opportunity to launch a new Mott Haven Neighborhood Service Collaborative.
“The purpose of the collaborative is to bring together neighborhood resources and offer them to the community. So today we're just here making sure the community knows about us,” said Kristin Miller, a project coordinator for the collaborative.
Their next steps are to engage in community outreach, fundraising, and planning a strategy that will best suit their neighbors.
