American basketball player Stephon Marbury's life has taken him all over the world, and recently brought him back home.
Marbury finished his playing career in China. This summer he brought a group of kids from China to New York City to show them where he came from.
"I'm not home as much as I would like, cause I'm building something overseas, this is part of me building a bridge, and coming over the bridge so these kids can have the same experience that I had," said Marbury.
Marbury will now be the head coach for the Beijing team. Marbury says this is a first-time experience for him, but something he says he already knows plenty about.
Marbury wants to continue to grow basketball in China, where he's already adored. He has brought a lot of excitement around the sport.
"China gave me the opportunity to revitalize my career and my life, given me an opportunity to see my life in a different way, so for me doing what it is I'm doing for them, them coming to my basketball camp is a blessing for me to be able to share these moments with them," said Marbury.
Marbury spent his Sunday at the Red Hook Brooklyn Community Festival taking pictures and spreading love.
