The pattern is set. Clouds are collecting, temps are warming and the rain will soak the state.
The Friday morning commute to work and school is going to be a miserable one. Wind-driven rain will cover streets with huge puddles. Gusty winds could have the power flickering from time to time during the day tomorrow as well.
Gusts could be as high as 50 mph or higher. That kind of wind usually brings down branches and power lines, so make sure your devices have a solid charge overnight.
The weather is going to flip on a dime by late tomorrow morning. From warm, wet and very windy to windy, frigid and icy.
Temperatures will be dropping very quickly once the rain passes by 10am. Going from the near 60’s to the low 40’s very quickly. Temperatures will continue to drop dramatically on Friday night.
Puddles from the morning storms will freeze quickly. Make sure the sidewalks, driveways and front steps are properly salted.
Looking to the weekend, the weather is seasonably chilly but dry. No storms expected for Saturday and Sunday.
