It was a record setting weather day. Our previous high temperature record for June 24 was 96. Temperatures reached 99 degrees during the afternoon.
Extreme heat will continue for another day into Wednesday. A heat advisory will be in place through Wednesday evening. Temperatures cool down for Thursday through the weekend.
OVERNIGHT: Lows stay sticky and very warm- in the low 80s.
WEDNESDAY: Another scorcher. A few degrees cooler but still seeing the middle 90s as highs and lows in the middle 70s. Sun, clouds, scattered showers/storms possible during the second half of the day.
THURSDAY: Big improvement. Highs in the low 80s, lows in the high 60s. Clouds and sun, afternoon/evening storm chances.
WEEKEND: Highs in the 70s and low 80s. Rain and storm chances possible for Friday and Saturday. Sunday looking like the better of the two. Clouds and sun, seasonable temps, drier weather.
