News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Hope Osemwenkhae says New Yorkers should brace for rain, snow, wintry mix and gusty winds starting tonight.
Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 4AM - 6PM on Tuesday. NWS is forecasting 4-8" of snowfall across the city. Travel will be very difficult during the Tuesday morning commute. We're still forecasting 3-6" across the city with 6-9" across the Bronx.
All New York City public schools will move to
remote learning on Tuesday due to the impending winter storm, according to Mayor Eric Adams.
Tuesday: STORM WATCH Heavy wet snow, wintry mix and gusty. Highs near 37. Lows near 30. Snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches are most likely with the potential for a boom or bust depending on snow bands. Snow ends shortly after noon. Winds gusting 20 to 40 mph.
