Cake Boi bakery looks to Bed-Stuy community for help following burglary

Cake Boi, a bakery in Bed-Stuy, was stripped of everything in a burglary March 1 and is now looking to the community for help.
The owner of the bakery, Khayri Ayers, tells News 12 that whoever is responsible took everything. According to police, it happened between 10 p.m. and 2:30 a.m.
Ayers tells News 12 the suspect took all sorts of cooking and baking equipment, his refrigerators, and even his permits. Police say Ayers is missing more than $30,000 worth of equipment and $3,000 in cash.
Ayers tells News 12 he's holding his head up and is determined to raise money to open another storefront in the area. He says he has created a GoFundMe page and has already raised nearly $4,000.
He says he's hoping people find it in their hearts to help him so he can continue baking for the community.
Ayers says he already has his eyes on a potential storefront location not too far away and that he is looking forward to when he's finally able to reopen his shop.
