NYC officials say more people were discharged from hospitals than admitted with coronavirus

New York City officials say more people were discharged from hospitals than the amount being admitted from coronavirus, but that the state saw the largest number of reported cases in one day.
Officials say 10,500 new cases were reported, bringing the total to nearly 103,000 people infected in the state.
More than half of those cases are in the city, which reported nearly 5,700 new cases.
More than 15,000 cases have been reported in Brooklyn since the start of the outbreak, and more than 10,000 have been reported in the Bronx.
Across New York City, more than 11,000 people are hospitalized and more than 1,800 have died as a result of the virus.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the worst of the pandemic is still ahead of us, and that the state has not hit the apex of the curve.
Cuomo is asking companies to transition to making PPE, as medical professionals are running out.
He says he also signed an executive order allowing the state to take ventilators and PPE from hospitals and get them to where they are most needed.
Mayor Bill de Blasio says the next week will be difficult.
