Although Brooklyn has received poor grades for air quality in years past, a new study finds the problem is getting better. According to an American Lung Association study, air pollution is improving and the amount of particle pollution is decreasing in the borough. Brooklyn?s grade went from a ?D? in 2005 to a ?C? this year. To keep these improvements on the right track, the American Lung Association is urging the Environmental Protection Agency to curb pollution from locomotive and marine sources like tugboats, ferries, and recreational boats.
