Summertime temperatures continue to sizzle the borough, with temperatures in the 80s for most of the week. There are a few stray showers and storm chances throughout the work week, but the main rain chances look to come Friday and Sunday, with the passage of a strong cold front.

Wednesday will not just be hot but could reach record-breaking temperatures. The previous record, set in 1941, is 87. The current forecast high is 88. It will be close, but this record could be broken on Wednesday. Thursday will also be very hot, but a cool down will start for Friday and into the weekend, with temperatures only in the 70s and 60s.

While there is a chance of a stray shower or storm for the early parts of the overnight, most of this system will likely be broken up by the time it gets to the borough. Partly cloudy skies overnight, with a mild breeze will follow after that. The second half of Wednesday could have a couple of rounds of showers and storms as well.
