It will be a cloudy and breezy Wednesday with increasing chances for rain by the evening.

News 12 Storm Watch Team meteorologist Sam Augeri says Wednesday's cloudy forecast is a prelude of more rainy weather to come for Thursday.

Rain will be heavy at times for Thursday with scattered showers in the afternoon. They likely will continue into the evening and early Friday.

The weather should calm by Friday afternoon with highs near 57 degrees.

The weekend is set to be calmer, but slightly cooler with highs in the upper-40s to the mid-50s.
