The novel coronavirus continues to make headlines and has even driven away customers from some restaurants in Sunset Park.
The Dim Sum restaurant is usually packed, but owners say the virus has kept customers away and people are canceling reservations.
To counteract the lack in business, community members organized a food crawl on Friday in order to bring business back.
Organizers held a similar event called #DineinChinatown in Manhattan's Chinatown area and decided to bring one to Brooklyn. They say there has been "coronavirus-infused discrimination," which has slowed sales for Chinese-run shops along Seventh and Eighth avenues in Sunset Park.
Health officials have told New Yorkers on several occasions that the risk of the virus is low and they should continue frequenting Chinese-owned businesses. Six people have been tested and all six tests were negative.
