Caped crusaders took over Bay Ridge Sunday as they ran to help children diagnosed with cancer.
The first annual Super Ridge 5K kicked off at the Narrows Botanical Garden.
A number of runners wore superhero costumes, including Spider-Man and Wonder Woman.
Organizers say the first race raised $500 that will go toward the Making Headway Foundation, an organization that helps children diagnosed with brain or spinal tumors.
