Taco lovers used Tuesday's National Taco Day as an opportunity to stop at the Coney Shack in Coney Island.
The food stand on West Eighth Street offers tacos with ingredients outside the realm of your typical beef, chicken or pork, with choices like Vietnamese beef cube short ribs and five-spice calamari. Many of its dishes incorporate southeast Asian spices.
The shack's No. 1 menu item is its beer-battered crunchy fish taco.
Even though the Coney Shack offers more than just tacos, that's what the establishment has become known for.
