A teenage shooting victim was in court Wednesday for a pre-trial hearing for the man who shot him.
The defense counsel for Kareem Potomont appeared at supreme court in Downtown Brooklyn. Potomont, who did not appear, is accused of shooting 13-year-old Gama Droiville and another man in Flatbush back in April.
Droiville was shot in the right eye and lost sight on that side, but says he forgives Potomont for what happened. He also says he's looking forward to starting high school this week and is waiting for a prosthetic eye.
Meanwhile, Potomont's attorneys announced that they would like to present a psychiatric defense, which was new information to Droiville and his family.
Potomont is now due back in court on Oct. 6.
