Brooklyn residents bundled up Monday a few days after record-warmth in December.
Some were even hoping for snow, like East Flatbush resident Antino Carvalhal, who predicted some a few hours before the city issued a snow alert for Monday night.
"The new year is going to feel like Christmas," Carvalhal says. "We can still say 'ho ho ho' on New Year's Eve."
News 12 meteorologists say overnight lows in the mid-30s overnight should warm up into the morning, with strong gusts of wind and some periods of sleet.
Forecasts show highs in the upper-40s to low-50s Tuesday, with more clouds and possible rain. The rain could continue into Wednesday with temperatures remaining in the same range.
