Tenants of the Walt Whitman Houses are questioning whether renovations the city is making are worth the inconvenience.
Many say they are missing basic comforts while the New York City Housing Authority carries out the renovations.
Abdul Karim says he's had to deal with dusty floors, moldy walls and no water coming from his sink. Karim says he asked the NYCHA for a transfer numerous times because of his breathing problems from the construction. He was finally given the transfer Thursday, he says.
