April 15 is tax day, marking the last day to file your taxes with the IRS.
For anyone who hasn't filed, you must do so by tomorrow's deadline or get an extension.
To get more time, you can fill out form 4868 to get a six-month extension. Filing on time is important because it could mean penalties if you don't.
You can file with a tax preparer, online or by mail, as long as those forms are postmarked and in the mail by April 15.
If you file online, many tax preparation companies offer free software, or you can find free filing software on the IRS website.
If you file by mail, your refund could take anywhere from six to eight weeks. If you file online, you could receive your refund in less than three weeks. Opting in for direct deposit could also shorten the wait.
You can check your refund status and print out all of the forms you need online on the IRS website.
