Ghosts and goblins will be walking the streets of New York City tonight celebrating Halloween. To make sure the celebrations come with all treats and no tricks, it’s important to take safety precautions that will ensure everyone has spooky fun night.
Halloween can be an exciting time for everyone for many reasons: costumes, decorations, and sweet treats. There are also many safety hazards that the NYPD says you should be on the lookout for.
They recommend that if you are celebrating tonight, choose safe costumes that include bright colors that are visible to drivers, never trick-or-treat alone and always check your candy to make sure it hasn’t been unwrapped, unsealed or repackaged.
Police say parents can also protect your children by warning them to avoid strangers and poorly lit areas.
