Actor Tracy Morgan and his family helped unveil some upgrades to the Hattie Carthan Community Garden in Bedford-Stuyvesant Thursday.
Morgan, a Brooklyn native, worked alongside nonprofits GrowNYC, City Harvest and Feeding America to bring new plants and benches to the park in the neighborhood where much of his TBS show “The Last O.G.” is based.
“It means a lot to me to be a part of it, and put my stamp on it to tell the youth: Eat healthy. Eat healthy and grow your own food,” Morgan told News 12.
The actor and his family worked with volunteers Thursday to pack up bags of apples that will be distributed to those in need.
