Anyone traveling this Memorial Day weekend, even if just locally, should expect to run into some delays. 
The 37th annual Dance Africa Bazaar will be held in the borough Saturday through Monday, shutting down a number of streets each day from noon until 8 p.m. 
The closures include Ashland Place between Hanson Place and Fulton Street, Lafayette Avenue between Flatbush Avenue and Fort Greene Place, Hanson Place between Ashland Place and St. Felix Street, Rockwell Place between Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street, and Ashland Place, also between Lafayette Avenue and Fulton Street. 
The United War Veterans Memorial Day Parade will shut down even more streets on Monday from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The procession begins on 3rd Avenue between 87th Street and Marine Avenue, and then heads down Marine Avenue between 3rd and 4th avenues. It will come to an end at 4th Avenue between Marine Avenue and 101st Street. 
Track work is planned on the subway system all weekend long. Mass transit riders should double check schedules before heading out.
Alternate side of the street parking rules will be in effect on Saturday citywide.
