A trio in Brooklyn started a dance group dedicated to showcasing the best of the borough with their every move.

Two months ago, the girls of Brooklyn Beasts were just carpooling together to and from rehearsal for a different dance group, and they were the only girls there from Brooklyn.
"We rode in the car together and we grew a closer bond and that's how we felt like we should start a group together because it would show our artistry and our independence," says Brianna Bailey, dancer.

They say they felt a connection to their home borough and to each other.

"Brooklyn is culturally diverse and like our group itself is culturally diverse," says Crystal Wu, dancer.

The Dyker Heights and Mill Basin natives are just 11, 15 and 16 years old, but they have big plans.
"There's not one person leading all the ideas; we all like to share our own ideas and then we just compromise together to make this group," says Jailene Perez, dancer.

Using their moves and their costumes to create art to show what they say Brooklyn is all about.
