Two men due in court after Farmingdale officer assaulted

Two men are due in court after Nassau County police say one of the men assaulted an officer around 3 a.m. in Farmingdale.

Two men are due in court after Nassau County police say one of the men assaulted an officer around 3 a.m. in front of Burgerology on Main Street in Farmingdale, as both men were fighting.
Police arrived after 23-year-old Jorge Ramirez Canales punched an officer in the face and continued to resist arrest.
The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The other suspect, 23-year-old Jamal Beverly, was found unconscious down the road and was arrested for allegedly having cocaine.
Both suspects are due in court Monday morning.
