Two men were hospitalized after gunfire erupted in Brownsville, police say.

Officers were called to Blake Avenue and Rockaway Avenue just before 7 p.m. Friday. This is located just outside the NYCHA Brownsville Houses.

The NYPD says a 20-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and a 24-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds to both legs.

EMS took the men to Brookdale Hospital, where they are expected to recover.
