A Uniondale man is accused of hitting and killing a 16-year-old girl with his car.

The Queens district attorney tells News 12 he hit the teen and her family on purpose.

Prosecutors say Edwin Cruz-Gomez offered the girl and her mother money for sex. The stepfather intervened.

That is when prosecutors say Cruz-Gomez got into his car and hit them all on a sidewalk in Elmhurst on Saturday.

Jhoanny Alvarez, 16,was killed. Her mother was injured.
