Residents covered up against the breezy conditions Saturday morning as clouds loomed and unseasonably low temperatures brought out fall jackets.
Many people, however, said the drop in temperature was a welcome break from the typical summer heat.
"It's definitely breezy and cool and no baking sun," said Lee Wilkinson, of Canarsie. "I'm enjoying it."
Sunday is expected to see sunshine throughout the day, with a high temperature of 81 degrees.
