Smoke sticks around as we head into the night. The current air quality alert will expire overnight, but we could continue to see smoke and haze into Friday.
Showers and storms arrive partway through Saturday and continue into later portions of the day. There is the chance for storms in the afternoon that could lead to isolated flash flooding and some thunder and lightning and noticeable gusts.
Precipitation could linger into early parts of Sunday, but the later parts of the day are trending better for outdoor activities.

Until then, the overnight is smoky and warm, with clouds and an early rogue shower or quick thundershower possible. Most of Friday will be just fine rain-wise, but we will likely still be dealing with reduced air quality.
Temperatures are summery. There will be sunshine, but it will still appear hazy. In early parts of the afternoon or evening, we could see some breaks in the smoke courtesy of a direction shift in the wind. This break will be short-lived as more smoke could arrive late Friday into early Saturday. The one good thing about weekend rain is that it can help cleanse our air! So Saturday's showers and storms will be beneficial both for the air quality and for the drought.
