Video: Pickup truck veered onto curb to bypass traffic, nearly hit pedestrians
Video appears to show a pickup truck driving onto a sidewalk in Williamsburg, barely missing pedestrians in front of a high school.
It happened on Harrison Avenue. Several vehicles were stuck at an intersection when the truck driver veers onto the sidewalk to bypass the traffic, coming close to pedestrians in front of the Bais Ruchel High School.
It comes less than a week after a similar incident in Borough Park, where a driver tried to bypass a school bus that was dropping off children, nearly hitting them.
Pedestrians in Williamsburg say they feel vulnerable walking down the street.
The NYPD says a reckless endangerment complaint has been filed and they are investigating the incident.
