Video shows coyote being rescued from East River in New York

In a new video, officers are shown pulling the coyote out of the water and into the boat to safety.

A coyote was rescued from New York’s East River. Authorities say NYPD received a call about a distressed dog, and it turned out to be a coyote.
In a new video, NYPD Harbor is seen pulling the coyote out of the water and into the boat to safety.
"Coyotes are common in NYC, but one swimming in the East River is not!" the NYPD 19th Precinct said in a tweet.
The animal is now being cared for at a local veterinarian, according to the NYPD 19th Precinct.
