The Sunset Park community held a vigil Monday night to honor a 14-year-old boy who was killed while riding his bicycle Saturday.
As News 12 reported, Edwin Ajacalon, a Guatemalan immigrant, was on riding on 23rd Street when he was struck by a BMW traveling south on Fifth Avenue.
Sen. Jesse Hamilton says he is going to fight to get "Edwin's Law" passed next year.
"Where we have speed cameras at intersections that we know are hazardous to people in our community," Hamilton says.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Ajacalon stayed at the scene. No arrests have been made.
