Family and friends gathered for a candlelight vigil to remember the 16-year-old boy fatally shot by police. 

Pictures, candles and heartfelt messages filled the East Flatbush corner of Church Avenue and East 55th Street Thursday night, where Kimani Gray was killed in March of last year. 

Investigators say Gray was acting suspiciously and pointed a gun at two plainclothes officers when they approached, forcing them to open fire. However, his loved ones argue that police used unreasonable force. 

The boy's mother, Carol Gray, spoke out earlier in the day about the decision not to indict the cops who shot her son. She said they at least deserved a day in court to present evidence to a grand jury.
