The community came together at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club in the Bronx to collect donations for neighbors who were displaced by last week's building collapse in Morris Heights.
Employees of the Boys & Girls Club and volunteers sorted through piles of clothes and other donations that they say just keeps pouring in to support the 170 residents of 1915 Billingsley Terrace, who are still without a home.
The city is helping displaced families find temporary shelter, but staff there say more is needed to ensure that they are properly outfitted.
Organizations like Sneaker Rescue, the New York Yankees and nearby food banks have come together to ensure that those who were displaced by the building collapse can live as normally as possible.
