A father-son duo in the Bronx has taken their love of thrifting to the next level by opening their own shop, despite being in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic. 

For Miguel Nunez and his father, Top Thrift was a long time coming. Nunez say he has had an eye for second-hand items since he moved to the United States from the Dominican Republic when he was 11. 

He says it has been a way of life, and now a profession. 

“The joy of finding something that in the store was $100 and now I can find it for $20, it’s like whoa,” said Nunez. 

Nunez says it’s not just about the deals, but about the journey of how they were found and where they have been. 

Top Thrift is open every day except for Sunday.
