Rain and fog blanketing the region are expected to give way to mostly cloudy, breezy skies on Christmas Eve.
Record warmth is expected Thursday with temperatures in the upper-60s to mid-70s during the day and mid- to upper-50s at night.
The record high was 60 degrees set in 2014.
On Christmas, forecasters expect more clouds with highs near 60 degrees in the day before dropping into the mid-40s with a chance of showers in the evening.
